I have a number of Chromecast devices at home as well as at work (+5 in both places) I have followed the instructions from Google resetting the Media server extension with no luck I have had the opportunity to do some investigation. The problem started in OS Catalina, and persists in Big Sur. Since some month ago, I am not able to find any Chromecast devices when trying to cast from my 13" 2016 MBP.
